For Simpsons fans like me, this shouldn’t really need an explanation. For everyone else, basically it’s a reference to season 7, episode 3 of The Simpsons called “Home Sweet Home-Diddily-Dum-Doodily,” in which Homer and Marge are found to be unfit parents and Bart, Lisa and Maggie are fostered to the super wholesome Flanders family next door. At one point in the episode, Ned Flanders walks out with a tray and says “Nachos, Flanders style! Cucumbers and cottage cheese!” The idea is that they’re supposed to be super bland, like everything is in the Flanders’ household, but I thought “hmmmmm that could be tasty.” So I made these, with a bit of spice to add flavour. Healthy, AND tasty!
